Iomart is in a period of transition<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Scottish cloud computing firm Iomart Group has appointed former bank executive Matthew Waymark as chief financial officer and director, filling one of two key vacancies at the company.<\/p>\n

Mr Waymark held roles at NatWest, including finance director of the commercial & institutional division, and most recently as CFO of a start-up bank. <\/p>\n

He trained as a chartered accountant at Deloitte and has held directorships at NatWest Pension Trustee and Coutts & Company. He does not currently hold any shares in AIM-quoted Iomart which is also seeking a full-time chief executive. <\/p>\n

He replaces Scott Cunningham who left the Glasgow-based company at the end of June and takes up his role on 14 September.<\/p>\n

Richard Last, executive chair, said: \u201cMatt was selected following a thorough and rigorous process, and the board is confident that his experience and financial leadership will be a significant asset as we continue to execute our strategy and deliver value for shareholders.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Waymark said: \u201cI look forward to working with the board and the wider team in rebuilding growth momentum and the delivery of its strategic priorities. This is a business with real ambition, and I am looking forward to contributing to its next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n

In its annual results in june it posted adjusted loss before tax of \u00a34m compared to a profit of \u00a36.5m in the previous year.<\/p>\n
