Hundreds of thousands of children\u2019s finger light toys have been recalled by a California-based company because of a risk they could be swallowed, cause chemical burns and death, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.<\/p>\n
Cade California Electronic this week recalled 179,739 units of the light-up toys sold on Amazon between March 2015 and July 2026 for $5 to $16.<\/p>\n
The toys violate the mandatory safety standard for toys “because the toys contain button cell batteries that can be easily accessed by children. If button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, including internal chemical burns, and death,” the CPSC said in a release.<\/p>\n
