Former Celtic and Scotland footballer Scott Brown has signed up with The Sporting Club, a business network connecting entrepreneurs, senior executives and sporting personalities.
Brown has become director of sport as the club launches in Scotland with a new leadership team.
Its members are brought together through premium events, business introductions, exclusive member venues and hospitality.
Founded in London in 2018 by sports broadcaster and entrepreneur Ian Stafford, it is led in Scotland by chairman Logan Rowan, a chartered accountant and partner at Sedulo. He was previously a partner at KPMG in London and led advisory work on some of the biggest private equity transactions in the UK, the US and Europe.
Mr Rowan will oversee the growth of The Sporting Club Scotland while strengthening links with the wider Sporting Club network.
Access to high-profile figures from the worlds of sport and business provide valuable opportunities to entertain clients with for example, hosting a recent private luncheon event with tennis legend John McEnroe at Quaglinos in Mayfair.
Introductions made through the club have resulted in multi-million-pound deals between members and lucrative partnerships. The chairman won more than £75,000 worth of business at his first event.
The Scottish arm is already actively investing in sport in Scotland with rugby, boxing and football sponsorships onboarding.

The Scotland Club calendar officially launches on 10 September at The Edinburgh Grand, with further events planned throughout the year.
Premium partner venues across Scotland, include the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh, The Edinburgh Grand, and hub venues in St Andrews, Northern Ireland and East Lothian.
