Hibs appoint Dutchman Reedijk as new manager – Daily Business

Hibs have appointed Marink Reedijk as their new manager, the Dutchman signing a three-year deal at Easter Road.

The 35-year-old was in charge of Beveren for the past two seasons, winning promotion to the Belgian top flight before leaving in the summer.

Reedijk, who succeeds David Gray after his sacking last week, will bring Rogier Molhoek with him as his No. 2.

“I can feel the ambition and see the clarity of what the club is trying to achieve,” he said.

“That was a big part of what attracted me here. I want us to be an assertive team; a team that gives everything, plays with purpose and gives our supporters something to really get behind.”

Hibs sporting director Malky Mackay said: “We began this process with a clear idea of the type of team we want to continue to build and the qualities we wanted from our next manager. Marink’s philosophy, his work with players and his leadership style are strongly aligned with that.

“We believe Marink is an excellent fit to take the team forward.
