TSB Bank is due to open its new flagship branch in Edinburgh city centre amid expectations of a rebrand to parent group Santander.
The new branch at 71 George Street and 40 Frederick Street will open on 23 November and replace the nearby Hanover Street branch which is closing. Savills Global Retail and Leisure handled the letting.
The upper floors of the A-listed Edwardian building have been transformed into a collection of 27 premium serviced apartments by Fletcher Joseph and offered by RÌGH Residences.
Spanish bank chain Santander completed its £2.6 billion takeover of TSB in April, purchasing it from rival bank Sabadell.
At the end of last year Corum Asset Management acquired TSB’s headquarters, Henry Duncan House, also in George Street. which had a price guide of £18.5m.
It is let to to TSB until 27 December 2031 on current passing rent of £1.48m a year and the sale of the building had no affect on the staff.
