Kate Forbes, the former Deputy First Minister, has joined True Stories – the new live events business launched earlier this year by True North Advisors.
Ms Forbes, who chose not to seek re-election to the Scottish parliament in May, will host a programme of live conversations with a range of speakers. Her first will be with Sir Chris Hoy, taking place this Friday at Dundee’s Caird Hall.
Sir Chris is also speaking earlier that day at The Calling, a live event organised by former automative entrepreneur Peter Vardy in Glasgow.
Ms Forbes said: “Throughout my time in government, some of the conversations I valued most were those which brought together people with different experiences, perspectives and ideas.
“True Stories has exciting plans to create more of those conversations, from major live events to intimate roundtables bringing together leaders from across business and public life.
“It is a real privilege that my first event will be with Sir Chris Hoy. His achievements in sport speak for themselves, but the courage and resilience he has demonstrated beyond the velodrome have inspired people across the country. I am very much looking forward to our conversation in Dundee.”
